As you approach the home, a larger than life-sized gingerbread home comes to mind. Cream tones outline the dark chocolate exterior enhanced by the heavy use of stone covering various areas on the front. A variety of unique, deep set sloping peaks sitting atop corbels add interest.
Wide, sloping stone columns guard the deep, covered porch, while natural landscaping,Read More
In which areas did you concentrate at first?
When I first got in the building industry in 2005, I worked at the front counter of a lumber yard where I learned the difference between a 6d nail vs 8d nail; plywood vs OSB, 2x4 vs 1x4, etc. I eventually worked my way up to drawing, estimating and delivering people’s dream homes. Helping people navigate through their cabinet options was always my favorite part of the process.
What do you find most rewarding about your day-to-day business?
What I find the most rewarding about my job is the working relationships I’ve built with repeat customers and contractors over the past few years; that really helps in this business.
I also enjoy being able to help homeownRead More

In 1982, Dakota Millwork was opened by a contractor with “supplier frustrations” who recognized a need for a supplier who could provide what the customer needed. Over the years, Dakota Millwork has spent time hand picking only the vendors that offer the best products, quality and value. Dakota Millwork’s best kept secret, is the fact that they are open to anyone for retail purchase. Supplying the Sioux Empire for over 28 years, Dakota Millwork continues to offer the same philosophy of service and quality.
Instead of knowing a little about thousands of items, Dakota Millwork chooses to focus on the products that they know best and pass this knowledge and savings on to their customers. Dakota Millwork tries to pair up with vendors and suppliers that offer theirRead More
