Where did you receive your training?
From my dad and Creative Surfaces. My dad is a general contractor. I started tagging along with him to job sites when I was really little, and continued on to work for him. With Creative Surfaces, I am constantly learning new things as the industry progresses.
How has your business changed/expanded over the years?
Creative Surfaces has grown in staff and has had numerous building additions. Our countertop division, which was once in the main building, is now a few blocks south and a new warehouse expansion was completed late last summer. We have newer, more efficient vehicles. We have incorporated new tools in production and install to do our jobs better. We have many new customers both in residential and commercial locally and across the U.S.
What do you find most rewarding about your day-to-day business?
Being able to be a part of so many businesses new construction or remodeling projects, meeting so many different people, and finishing a job with a very happy customer!
What is the latest trend in your industry?
Cambria quartz countertop mitered waterfall islands
Where do you go for fun?
Outside to play with my kids, restaurants, and events at the Premier Center/Washington Pavilion
Who is your favorite sports team?
How do you spend your spare time?
I have a side business of buying and selling pre-owned jewelry. I work with two consignment stores in Sioux Falls. I am also a power-seller on eBay. I like to watch sports, go to the Family Wellness Center, enjoy the outdoors, play board games, and visit family.

Freeman Academy in Freeman, SD
What is your biggest obsession?
I'm always working on a project.
What was the best piece of advice you ever received?
My mom told me to always be honest.
How would your closest friends describe your three most endearing attributes?
Positive, outgoing, and having a goofy personality.
If you could be any animal, what would you want to be?
An eagle, because they look awesome and can fly anywhere!
