Arriving at the curb of this two-story home located in the Arbor’s Edge development in Southeast Sioux Falls, the grand appeal is hard to deny. Sharp lines and custom exterior features immediately catch your eye. Neutral stone accents and thick white trim pop against grey vertical siding. A concrete porch, covered with a shiplap ceiling and framed by two white pillars, guides guests inside. With an open floor plan, this custom home built by WT Construction is as appealing to the eye on the inside, as it is on the outside.
In the spacious entryway, a brilliantly elegant chandelier offers a warm welcome. Nearby, a set of French doors lead you into the bright office. Calm tones and an enormous window make this a space anyone would love to work in. Natural hardwood flooring directs visitors to the open concept living area.
In the gourmet kitchen, painted white custom cabinets sit at staggering heights, creating an artistic appeal. Crown molding, slow close drawer features and chic hardware are fantastic finishing touches to the timeless cabinetry. High-end appliances match the brushed nickel professional-grade faucet and elegant fixtures, and a flat-top stove and dual oven ensure this space is a flawless fit for the gourmet chef in any family. A large white island, topped in a gorgeous white granite, rests below a trio of hanging pendants. Not only does it provide extra space for entertaining, the island is full of drawers and doors to handle the homeowner’s storage needs. Large subway tile creates the backsplash that lines the walls of the kitchen. A smoky glass door leads into the walk-in pantry, providing even more storage. Recessed and under-cabinet lighting are only supplemental to the natural light that shines through the square window.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, complete with sliding glass doors to the covered Cedar deck. With recessed lighting, shiplap on the ceiling and walk-out access to the large backyard, the deck is the ideal space for entertaining in the warm summer evenings.
Opposite the sliding patio door is the entrance to the garage. A dark-painted custom locker system provides optimal space for the coats, hats and boots that are prevalent in the cooler months. A small powder room is conveniently located nearby, and it’s anything but ordinary. Light brown-grey tile covers the floor, and a dramatic granite countertop covers the vanity. A contemporary glass bowl sink with waterfall faucet completes the comfortable area.
Back inside, the openness of the great room is calm and comfortable. Light grey paint covers the walls, and thick white millwork makes a striking statement. A gas fireplace is surrounded by white-painted brick; atop it sits a dark custom mantle. Plush carpet warms the open space, while bright natural light flows in from two transom windows and a massive three-pane window.
As you make your way upstairs, the way is lit by two vertical windows, which sit parallel to a modern chandelier. Even the details on the stairway were given considerable attention; newel posts and railings are painted a dark brown and complemented by clean white spindles.
The master retreat is conveniently located in the corner of the home, allowing for windows to frame the bed. Natural light flows in uninhibitedly, with a pair of lamps and recessed lighting providing additional light. With ample space in the master bedroom, it’s the picture-perfect place for a comfy chair and a shelf full of your favorite books.
In the master bath, you are immediately greeted by a huge dual sink vanity. Soft white granite countertops grace the top of the vanity, while sleek cabinet pulls adorn the cabinets. The bright white custom cabinet – set between two sinks – reaches the ceiling and provides multiple shelves for storage. Two frameless mirrors hang above the brushed nickel faucets. The mirrors are large, but not without detail; a simple sketched accent lightly frames the interior of both mirrors. Across from the vanity sits a large soaker tub. White subway tile surrounds the front of the tub, the sides surrounding the tub, and the inside of the walk-in shower. The last stop in the master retreat is the large walk-in closet. Baskets, shelves and drawers create the ultimate dressing space.
Three additional bedrooms – all with double closets – can be found on the upper level of this gorgeous two-story home. A second full bathroom is also located upstairs. The large bath incorporates darker tones, with a dark door and vanity. An elongated transom window offers a sense of airiness. Complete with dual undermount sinks, granite countertops and a tub/shower combination, this bathroom is a guest’s dream. To ease the chore of laundry, a sizeable laundry room sits adjacent to the bathroom. Granite countertops accent the utility sink, while practical tile flooring adds to the stylish décor.
The unfinished lower level of this custom home has outstanding potential for a large family and recreation room, wet bar, additional fireplace, additional bedroom and bathroom. With high-end finishes, custom features and potential to grow, this home is really an impressive retreat.
