A beautiful new Ranch-style villa sits in Willow’s Edge, a thriving family-friendly neighborhood on the east side of Sioux Falls. The two-bedroom, two-bath home built by Trademark Homes offers maintenance-free living at its finest. As the weather turns, homeowners need not worry about taking care of the snow; they can simply cozy up inside near the floor-to-ceiling fireplace.
The home’s striking exterior features deep gray siding and bright white trim and garage doors. Gray stone in a multitude of shades runs along the front of the home, adding plenty of texture and dimension. A curved front walk, accented by flowers and a rock bed, lead guests through a pair of stone pillars. Modern house numbers and a dark wooden front door hint at what the home offers.
Upon entering, you’ll notice how spacious and bright this home is. Large windows throughout the main floor allow plenty of natural light to flow in. From the front door, your gaze travels all the way across the main floor to the expansive view out the living room window. The home’s colors – dark wood trim against light wood floors and gray walls – are warm and welcoming. Every detail stand outs, from the handsome front door to the eccentric light fixture in the foyer.
Immediately off the entry sits a spacious front room. A large window, closet and modern light fixture create an incredible space for a bedroom or a home office. Designed with function in mind, the mudroom and laundry area conveniently sit off the opposite side of the entry. Tiled flooring, countertop space and cabinets complete this practical room. Its handy location just inside the garage makes it perfect for dropping off luggage and laundry after a weekend away. There’s plenty of room in the oversized two-stall garage to store the whole family’s toys.
Back inside, the kitchen is built for entertaining. Custom Knotty Alder cabinets contrast against granite countertops and a lustrous white tile backsplash. Nickel hardware looks sharp against the dark cabinets and beautifully matches the stainless steel appliances. An undermount sink rests in the island for effortless cleaning. Two ornamental pendants hang above the island, which provides plenty of seating for on-the-go family breakfasts. The walk-in pantry has ample shelving and helpful automatic censored lighting. Homeowners won’t need to worry about hitting the lights, which is fitting as you barely notice the hidden pantry nestled in the kitchen cabinets.
Just beyond the kitchen is the dining area; a table and chairs rest below a large circular-shaped chandelier. A sliding door leads to a covered 17’x11’ deck, creating an extension of the dining space. When the weather warms up, homeowners can enjoy the sunshine and the views as they entertain on the oversized deck.
Hardwood kitchen and dining floors transition into a carpeted living room as easily as the layout flows in this cozy home. Several windows allow an abundance of natural light. A modern ceiling fan is settled in the simple tray ceiling, and a pair of lamps add to the ambiance. A stone floor-to-ceiling fireplace and a spectacular view of the open backyard make this an excellent area for enjoying quiet evenings together.
Off the living room is the master bedroom, also featuring a tray ceiling, a massive window that covers most of the exterior wall, and a large master bath. Soak in warm sunlight during the day, and when the sun goes down, count on recessed lighting paired with brushed silver lamps to let you settle in for the evening. A tiled shower sits in the corner, and a pair of sinks and mirrors are separated by a his-and-hers divider. A well-lit, spacious walk-in closet finishes off the master suite.
Directly inside the front door, basement stairs lead to a huge finished family room. The unfinished lower level offers opportunity to expand, as it leaves room for two additional bedrooms and a full bath. To make the most of the space, an additional closet is tucked under the stairs for storage or an extra kids’ play are.
This charming home offers an open layout, yet still keeps a cozy feel. The easy-living villa seamlessly blends beauty and function, and effortlessly allows for room to grow.
