Sitting neatly on the southern perimeter of Sioux Falls is an impressive 2,136-square-foot home built by Sierra Construction. This traditional two-story home boasts three bedrooms, three baths, and an oversized three-stall garage.
On the exterior of the home, white stone accents contrast beautifully against grey-green shakers and tan trim. Varying heights of the roofline are also outlined with tan trim and highlight the stunning design.
As you enter the home through the large front door, you are greeted by an oversized entryway and a gorgeous overhead light fixture. This is your first taste of the simplistic yet modern feel this home offers. Just to the right, you will notice a large room with brilliant natural light. Because this room is at the front of the house and set away from the main living areas of the home, this room is the perfect choice for an office or den. French doors allow access to family and friends but also the flexibility of transitioning to a quiet space when needed. The entry extends past a spacious coat closet and a door to the unfinished basement. A powder room also resides on the main level, featuring beautiful dark wood and chrome finishes.
Elegant hardwood floors span the main level, creating harmony with the stylish carpeted staircase that leads to the second floor. The gorgeous wood and metal staircase railing acts as a visual boundary to the open concept main living areas toward the back of the home.
Light grey walls that extend 9’ to the ceiling continue throughout the main floor, and are further brightened by the light from thoughtfully-placed windows. Crisp white millwork adds to the contemporary design and continues the visual flow throughout the home.
In the dining area, a large wooden table overlooks the backyard through large sliding glass doors. A lovely metal light fixture sits above the table and matches the one in the entry. Just right of the dining area is a sizable living area. Illuminated with recessed lighting and a large window, this area is a perfect for entertaining friends and family.
Opposite the living room, a large granite island with seating for three delineates the kitchen area and is displayed exquisitely beneath metal and glass fixtures. A white subway tile backsplash sits above dark granite countertops and matches the fresh white staggered cabinetry. Sleek chrome pulls and appliances add to the modern feel of this space. A spacious pantry and organized built-in shelves finish off the impressive kitchen.
Connecting the kitchen and oversized garage is a mudroom with a built-in locker system and ample closet. A pocket door is the perfect option for closing off the room from the kitchen.
The pathway to the second level is highlighted by an enormous window that allows sunlight to flood in. The second story carries lush carpet throughout and continues the theme of light grey walls and bright white millwork.
Two bedrooms with large closets sit on opposite sides of the landing. Chrome finishes and hardware extend into the bathroom where contrasting dark wood with light colored granite countertops creates a clean, modern look. A tub and shower combo complete the functionality of this room.
Located between the bathroom and master is a large laundry room, which houses washer/dryer hookups, a built-in cabinet, and granite countertop for ease.
Upon entering the master suite, you will not be disappointed. Along with the incredible use of windows, recessed lighting brightens this generous room. The vast wall space perfectly frames wall decor and gives the homeowner plenty of options for rearranging furniture. Because there is so much space in this room, a large bed and oversized accenting furniture aren’t risking overcrowding the space. Attached to the bedroom is a master bathroom that includes a gorgeous grey-tiled shower, double vanity, and incredibly large walk-in closet with custom shelving. Dark cabinetry, granite counters, chrome hardware, and similar lighting echo the design of the other bathrooms in this home.
Sierra Construction has created an incredibly well-thought-out home, impressively utilizing natural light to enhance the functional layout. Homeowners can put their own custom touches on the unfinished basement, creating the perfect modern getaway.
