In Southern Sioux Falls, KN Construction has built a five-bedroom, three-bath home where rustic meets contemporary. This beautiful, fully-finished Ranch walkout home sits on a lot overlooking a serene, quaint pond. With an abundance of windows, zoned heating, and a four-zone distributed audio system, you are sure to find serenity and peaceful living on nature’s doorstep.
A covered stoop sits in between an oversized three stall garage and large picture window. With a mix of stone and siding, the exterior boasts custom details not found on many newly constructed homes. Transom windows sit above custom garage doors, allowing natural light to flow into the insulated garage.
The steel front door, adorned with decorative smoky glass panels, welcomes guests inside. Once inside, the great room greets you with a large picture window, allowing natural light to guide your way. Dark engineered hardwood floors run throughout the space, complementing the gray walls. A main floor laundry area and tiled mudroom are conveniently located just off the front and garage entryways. Even in the most practical spaces, the rustic feel of this home begins to make its appearance.
Birch cabinetry is found throughout the main level – in the mudroom, bathrooms and kitchen. Stained in a drift wood tone, the cabinetry pairs flawlessly with the hardwood floors. A floor-to-ceiling tile hearth makes a statement in the great room, with a stunning design that mimics old barn wood. An electric fireplace, a large TV, and comfortable seating in the open-concept area deliver endless entertainment options.
Off the kitchen is a dining area, naturally lit by windows on multiple walls. A contemporary chandelier hangs in the tray ceiling, and provides a spotlight for the charming ship lap design above. Vaulted ceilings extend to the outdoor living area, where a spacious deck boasts outdoor audio and recessed lighting. With access to the circular concrete patio, bonfires and memories are sure to be made in this one-of-a-kind outdoor setting.
In the kitchen, a vintage white painted island with seating for four rests below quartz countertops. Stainless steel appliances, elongated white subway tile, and satin nickel finishes enhance the chic style of the kitchen. A walk-in pantry, customized with a motion sensor light, is brilliantly hidden behind two smoke glass French doors.
The secluded, spacious master suite sits off the great room. The suite is immersed in natural light, thanks to an abundance of windows and accent lighting. A custom textured tray ceiling, complete with molding, adds a healthy dose of character to this sweet space. An efficient walk-in closet, including a full-length mirror and storage bins, ensures space is never an issue in this master suite.
The master bath is conveniently closed off by a pocket door, saving space while leading to the marble countertops with trough sink. A couple of brushed nickel faucets strike a stunning balance against the chevron tiled backsplash. A walk-in tile shower – beautifully finished with convenient storage shelves, a bench and dual rainfall shower heads – polishes off this retreat.
Two additional guest rooms and a guest bath – each with a view of the pond – are located on the main level.
A geometric railing leads guests to the lower level, where a full wet bar is waiting. A custom stained island topped with black countertops provides an abundance of storage. The island features a unique tile layout design and, like the hearth upstairs, mimics that of reclaimed barn wood. Hardwood floors guide visitors through the sliding glass doors, leading to the spacious concrete patio. A large carpeted family room features an abundance of windows, offering impressive views of the pond outside. Two additional bedrooms and a guest bath can also be found on the lower level. After viewing the lower level, it’s apparent how well-designed this home’s plan is. Every inch of space is utilized in this custom home, enabling homeowners to live in a very practical and comfortable way.
